Light Airy and Comfortable with Scraps

Image
I found this piece of black double gauze in G Streets 'Treasure Hunt Room'   I do love that room.  So I folded it over cut a hole in the center of the fold and made a baggy top, there was enough scrap left to add a littl piece on the end of the make shift sleeves that were wide from the fabric width and I added some scrap white to the top and sleeves and bottom.  I decided to add some Eyelet to the edges for a little fancier beach comfy top. The pants are just thick cotton that are baggy with a drawstring and elastic at the waist, pockets and the bottom folded up and over and then top stitched like a cuff. Fast fun and ready for vacation.

Make Your Own Style by Necessity- No pattern This is my style.  Roomy and comfortable.   I have written about my auto-immune disease, which needs large sleeves and comfortable clothes.  No exposure to sun, but cool and comfortable.  ..Leggings - One Piece-cut 2- Tubins- Topstitch Pockets etc.. Regular pants-4 pieces 2 fronts and 2 backs and 4 piece pockets So many choices...plain pants.... leggings/tubins 1.  quick and easy 1 piece to lay on fabric folded over This is the type of pattern for the pants I wear in my total outfits with the free flowing jackets at work most days.  They look like leggings, but they are what I call tubins...I make the top of the pants like leggins, comfortable and fitted with the elastic waists. The curve in the front is smaller than the curve in the back. One piece is your right leg and one piece is your left leg. Make that curve the same as your curve.   Measure your curve with a string or your measuring tape, from crotch to waist and then lay it on your pattern piece so they are the same. This is how they are shaped... one pattern piece... using 1 + yard of fabric 54-60 wide folded over... stretchy like scuba No, I don't have a cutting table.  I use...
