Favorite Outfit with Favorite Pieces


 My favorite style lately, palazzo pants with adjustable elastic waistband and pockets...

add a big cowl bulkie sweater and two scarves from the same fabrics tied in a knot at the ends.

I have a separate Cowl neck piece I use on everything.


Earrings from both the pants fabric and the sweater fabric
and my favorite free flowing asymmetrical light jacket.

  Well, make it as simple as you want....but somehow...someone gave me some bells so I had to add the snowmen with hats so I could put the bells on them.... Then of course, if I made them 3 D...I needed to make the trees etc 3 D..... and then of course, the fur.... on the sleeves and around the whole jacket... SO Cozy I  cut the jacket  In half up the front so I can make it a cardigan.  Then I have some christmas tree napkins that I did not give away in past years so I folded them into the tree shape and then stitched them onto the shirt in the back.   I will decorate them and add other embellishments before I line it. and add fur to the outter edges.         Sewing things on with invisible clear thread.... puffing the little presents and  toys and cookies and Santa and the Snowmen like a trapunto quilt.... Yes, I went wild with the crystal buttons for the tree stars.   Stay tuned for updates.

Making a Jacket from a Pre-made Sweatshirt and some Faux Fur from GSTREETFABRICS

This was my sample of machine stitching on a hot pad.... Sewing it to the back of my comical sweatshirt and putting fur around the cuffs and around the whole sweatshirt made it a fun thing to wear when it gets chilly in the warehouse in winter. 1.  Large size sweatshirt so it is a jacket size.   2.  turn the sweatshirt around so the front sayin is on the back. 3.   Slice up the middle of the back that is now the front. 4.  Buy one quarter of a yard of faux fur and then make it a soft one, clip  and tear into strips that you can fold over the edge of the jacket. one length will be 5 feet and that is enough to go around the front edge. another length will be enough to do your cuffs and the bottom edge or around your saying-the width of each strip ripped is about one third of your quarter yard....have fun. Free Flowing Jackets with More Sleeve Detail

  Sleeve details in next pictures Lovely fabrics All from  G Street Fabrics Store   I am there Sun Mon Tues Wednes and most Sat Sun 11-6 All other days the store is open 9:30 to 7:30 On Sat I am usually there 12-7:30 I make all of my clothes, mostly from Gstreet some are my fabric designs, which I use mostly on my free flowing jackets, sometimes I have an ocasional dress out of my design on sport lycra. The places at the store that I use for these free flowing jackets are the poly special table and digging in the Treasure Hunt Room where we sell bits and pieces from Garment Districts in California and New York.  Some great finds in the 'Treasure Hunt Room' at only 3.97 a yard.  These jackets take 2.5 to 3 yards depending on sleeves and direction of print.  The pants about the same, 60 inch fabric for jackets, Pants can be 45 inch, but need at least 2 7/8 for the narrow fabric, and 3 if tall.
